Well Overdue...

I'm so late in catching up on my blog so instead of writing about all that happened the rest of the month of December, I'll just let the photos do all the talking...

Crafting - My Therapeutic Stress Relief

Wine Cork Wreath

I really like typography (duh, I'm a graphic designer) and particularly like all the designs on wine/bottle labels and corks.  I requested a friend collect some wine corks from the restaurant she works at and she gave me quite a few to craft with! (filled 4 vases full!) Before Christmas, I was inspired by another pin on pintrest of a wine cork wreath and I just had to make one of my very own!

There were no directions so I just guessed and purchased a straw wreath base from Michaels and dissembled some holly silk greenery I had left over from last year's Christmas decoration craft. I then got out my trusty glue gun and got to work. There was really no rhyme or reason to the way the corks were glued to the base, but it took a little thought in the placement so that they would fit together without large gaps in between. The gaps that were inevitable I would use berry clusters to glue in between.

Final product hung on a mirror in my dining room.

2013

Happy New Year!

After a much needed vacation I am back to work and back to blogging - bear with me as I catch up on Christmas and add photos soon.

I hope everyone had a wonderful new year's day and I pray everyone will be blessed with good health and a new year filled with happy times and memories. I know this year I can expect 365 days of new adventures in parenthood and luckily I have Louie by my side to experience them all - he is truly the best dad ever.

This Year...

Bella turns 3!

Louie and I celebrate 6 years of marriage and 11 years of friendship.

I will have been an employee for Kennesaw State University for 2 years

AND.... Louie and I both say goodbye to our 20's and will be officially welcomed into our 30's.

That is a lot going on in one year.... can't wait!
