Apples and Pumpkins

Yahoo Farm

We marked our 3rd annual trip to Yahoo Farm this year with Nonna and Poppy. That day the weather was unseasonably warm, nevertheless it was a beautiful day and we even had Nonnie and Pop-Pop (Walter's) friends, Dick and Pat, join us for some pumpkin picking fun. Bella pet all the animals and rode a pony, we had a great time on the hayride, picnicked in the shade, and chose some really nice pumpkins to take home.

 Red Apple Barn

We usually venture up to Bert's Farm every year with Louie's family, but over the past several years it has become extremely popular and very crowded. This year, Kim found a new place for us to check out - the Red Apple Barn. They had a hay ride up the hill to where all apple orchards were and we were free to spend as much time walking around, picking and trying out the apples and fill our bag with as many as we could. The kids had a great time and I think Bella ate about 2 whole apples along the way! After a nice picnic we chose a pumpkin from their small patch - Louie opted for a nicely shaped green pumpkin. The farm also had a really nice few rows of beautiful wild flowers that were attracting many butterflies. I had fun snapping a few photos to capture how pretty they were. At the end of our trip we enjoyed some cider and an apple doughnut courtesy of the farm. The family had a great time and we are definitely going to go back next year!

Bella's First Braves Game

**please excuse the delay - this seems so old but I'm playing catch up!

Labor Day

For Louie's birthday I got us all tickets to see the braves game together as a family - Bella's first game. Louie was so happy to be taking his little girl to the game and share a past time that he holds dear to his heart. I made a cute Braves shirt for her to match a braves hat she got as a gift for her birthday (Thank you Caselli's!) - we were all decked out to cheer on our bravos! The weather was great and we ended up having an awesome time.
