Happy 2015!
My blog posts have been few and far in between (SO BUSY!!) but since we are already into the 2nd month of the new year, I'll just wrap up the last few months in 2014.October/November
Our fall last year was fantastic. Between the crisp cool weather, the colors of the season, and the fun activities - we enjoyed it all. In October, our very good friend and neighbor, Lauren (www.LaurenLopezPortrait.com), joined us at our annual trip to Yahoo Pumkin Farm and captured some lovely photos of our family. She was SUPER easy to work with (not just because she is my friend) but she just let us be who we are and gave direction to a few posed pictures. We really enjoyed the experience and definitely the result of the photo shoot... see for yourself.Halloween was another fun event with Bella's cousins and neighbor friends. Their costumes and joy of trick-or-treating was priceless! (Lauren, I borrowed your halloween photos :)
In November Bella Rose Hairbows, my new side venture, had a booth in two events to sell bows for the first time in public - 1 in an elementary fall fair and 1 in a church holiday craft fair. I shared the booth space with a fellow crafter and friend, Sekayi, who sold handmade scarves. I spent lots of time creating bows and decor for my table and both events were pretty successful!
Thanksgiving came up pretty quickly after my exciting craft fairs and we experienced a special Thanksgiving "show" in Bella's Pre-K classroom. Bella was also lucky to have her grandparents make a special appearance. We hosted a traditional Thanksgiving dinner in our home with Louie's family and took the kids to go see Disney's Big Hero 6 (which they loved).
Part 2 next...
